Hā'ale'ale i ka pu'uwai.
A heart full to the brim [with love].
“If there was ever a more necessary time to interact with the world with your whole heart and soul, it is this time —
this precious moment,
this sacred moment.
This sacred moment, when experienced in its fullness, steeps its beloveds in grounded awareness with each inhale and exhale.
It pours love into the fissures of every softening heart that is eager for freedom.
It is ripe with compassion and right action.
When we melt into this sacred moment, we taste the nectar of Paramount Vision.
We see ourselves. We see others. We begin to meet what really is, the only thing that ever Is… This sacred moment.”

The Pu'uwai Initiative is a grassroots organization committed to crafting a world where we live and give from our Hearts. This world is based on loving stewardship of our beautiful earth, deep and reverent connection to nature, and resilient communities. Our organization focuses on donating edible trees and perennial plants to new parents and single parents. It’s our goal to lay the groundwork for a future brimming with abundance, joy, and high quality nutrition.
We envision a planet where children grow up with a profound connection to our first mother who sustains us in every way: our Mother Earth. Our aim is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the environment and the responsibility to lovingly steward it. We believe that this early bond will shape a generation that cherishes and protects our planet, fostering resilience, sustainability, regeneration, and a harmonious relationship with the natural world and each other.
Key Objectives:
Connection with Nature from Day 1: Most children come into this world with a natural sense of wonder, curiosity, and reverence for nature. They want to explore in the forests and gardens, observe the bugs interacting, munch the fruits, and run around with delight! Nurturing this effortless sense of joy and wonder can be pivotal in the healthy development of a child.
Environmental Stewardship: It’s time to be fully committed to the well-being of our planet, and there are so many ways we can do this. One way is by planting more trees and plants. By doing so, we contribute to the scrubbing of the atmosphere. We replenish the fresh oxygen and help to restore ecological balance. Even better if the trees we are planting can also provide food, medicine, shade, and beauty. This, in turn, nurtures a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
Food Security: Access to nutritious food is a birthright. Without this basic foundational aspect of existence, we cannot live and create harmoniously on this planet. This planet has more than enough to provide for its children when we work in accordance with its natural tendencies and rhythms.
Abundance and Sharing: There is great power in sharing the abundance that Earth has bestowed upon us. The nutritious yield from the donated trees and plants not only provides sustenance for the recipient families but also creates a surplus that can be shared within the community, promoting a culture of generosity, support, and collective thriving.
With the Pu'uwai Initiative, we embark on a journey to craft a better world. Together, we sow the seeds of love, compassion, and nourishment, empowering families to thrive and fostering a future where all beings flourish. Through unity and dedication, we aspire to create a world where children grow in harmony with nature, and our planet thrives in the embrace of love and respect.
